With the days getting longer and Spring Training starting, admit it – your outdoors brain starts kicking in and your casting hand gets twitchy. But we know it’s not time yet, as there’s still some winter left to go. This is the New York area, after all.
The World Fishing and Outdoor Expo at Rockland Community College is the perfect way to get your required dose of angling, hunting and the outdoor life.

The show is THE place to upgrade your tackle, boat, and gear for the coming season. More than 200 vendors will be selling exactly what you need, including rods, reels, lures, apparel, boats, kayaks and much more. Basically everything needed to make 2020 your best fishing year yet! Learn stuff
It would be hard to find a better opportunity to learn more about fishing, boating and hunting than the World Fishing and Outdoor Expo. We have more than 60 seminars Thursday to Sunday from an incredible roster of instructors, including Bassmaster Champions, TV stars and local experts. They cover everything from fishing techniques to Whitetail stalking to Tuna Trolling to South African hunting stories. Here’s the full schedule.

We have insanely great fishing and hunting right in our backyard here, but sometimes you want to get away and go for different species or scenery. Maybe you want to try fly fishing. Hunt Elk. Nearly 100 guides, lodges, resorts, charters and outfitters will be at the show for you to learn about and book your next angling adventure.
Check out Amazing Boats
If you love getting on the water, a sport show is just heaven. We’ll have lots of the major fishing boat brands on display, from aluminum to fiberglass. It’s fun to see all the cool innovations and eye-popping designs, all under one roof. Here’s the list of exhibitors, including boat brands, you can see at the show.
Shop for a Boat
Unlike auto and most powersports shows, you can actually buy boats right at the event. Our show is particularly great if you’re in the market for a new boat because you can shop several dealers and compare boat types/brands in one place. Plus, boat and engine manufacturers often offer incentives in order to book sales well before the high season.
It gets the kids out of the house!
At this time of year, we all want to get out of the house with family so we make the World Fishing and Outdoor Expo a great time for kids. You’ll find a bunch of activities kids will love, such as live raptor birds, a fishing simulator, hunting dog demos, an offshore racing boat and more! Sunday is Family Day with special activities and giveaways.
Cure your Winter Blues!
Finally, the World Fishing and Outdoor Expo is a great event for getting together with your hunting and fishing buddies. You can meet at the show after work, grab refreshments and relive some great stories from last summer – or plan this season’s outings.
